Gave this place a try, specifically their ceviche de camaron and I LOVED IT! I took it to go so I had to add more lime, salt, and tapatio. But needless to say, it was good! It had good chunks of shrimp! The price is a little high but I would go back and prob get another order. (I believe an order of shrimp ceviche was $13.99 plus tax).

The address for some is Los Angeles, but The Brite Spot is actually right near old downtown San Pedro. If you are visiting the area it is a must stop for traditional Mexican food. They have such a huge menu, it is pages, with photos, and everything you could want. If you don't care for Mexican food, they have burgers and even pancakes, but get Mexican food, they are really good at it.

The place is small with a counter and several booths. You will see all your food prepared if you are at the counter. There is a juke box playing Ranchero music. The service is fast and ever so friendly. They will speak to you in Spanish or English, your choice. The area is so cute, with older paintings on the wall and this place is spotless. It is in an older building, but they manage to keep it all super clean, including the restroom.

Brite Spot is family and tourist friendly. It is mostly a locals hangout and the locals are wonderful. The kid's menu is large with a great selection. I wanted to order off of it, but I left that to my grandson, who was in heaven. The best guacamole in town. Ask them for it, and they will make it right then for you, so fresh and not too spicy.

Everything here is good. They have oysters and other fish, they have any meat you want and great rice and beans. They also open early for breakfast. On certain nights that have some great taco specials and almost every night they have tacos being made to order outdoors. Just yum.

The outside does not look impressive, don't let that fool you. It is great, I mean really great.

Stopped by with my husband parents despite the 3 star reviews and boy are we glad! We ordered the molcajetes mixtos and they were absolutely delicious! The side of rice and beans was also really tasty. The service was a cherry on top of this seafood Sundae. Everyone here is super nice and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back here for more mariscos.

I ordered a medium pozole and asked for more hominy than meat bcuz my employer is elderly n can't really chew all that meat and I got 10 hominy and all meat... and YES I counted the hominy... It's all about getting what u order... customer service, good service n good food... why is that so hard? I have been there a few times before and didn't like their food but I couldn't find any other spot in pedro that sold pozole... if u know of one pls let me know thank u lol...i don't want to give any stars but i have too...

update** I went in today again I know I know after what i wrote but my employer wanted to try it again and well... i ordered pozole again this time a large and a large shrimp cocktail... said a lot more hominy than meat n flour tortillas... I got still more meat (and a big bone n more liquid) and corn tortillas... and the guy wasn't wearing a glove when he touched my avocado and but touch my avocado I mean the part that was being put into the shrimp cocktail not talking about the peel... still not satisfied... and never going back again... I may sound a bit over the top but good quality service is a must in my eyes... but the waitress cristal was nice...
